Moving to New Zealand or Australia?

Rishta is for people building a life here. If you live overseas and would move, often to join or live near family who are already here, you are welcome, on the same terms as everyone else.

How it works for you

    Join, and choose “Overseas”

    Say which country you live in, whether you would move to Australia, New Zealand or either, the cities you would live in, and any family already here. Your profile then reads, for example, “Ludhiana, India · moving to NZ · Brother in Auckland”, so nobody is surprised later.

    Check your ID

    Your passport or licence and a short live selfie, from any country. Other members never see your document; a person on our team checks it, and the recording and the photo are deleted as soon as they have.

    Who can find you

    Only people in Australia or New Zealand who said they are open to a partner from overseas, and only in a country you are willing to move to. You will not see other overseas members, and nobody here sees you unless they chose to. That keeps it honest for everyone.

    Your family here can help

    A brother, sister or parent in Australia or New Zealand can make the profile for you. You then check your own ID from the link we send, because it is your profile and your choice.

For everyone who joins now, women and men, the same as for people here: searching, photos, interests, messages and calls.

After that · women and men

$39 a month

or $99 for 3 months, paid once. The same price for everyone, here or overseas.

  • Currency: New Zealand dollars, or Australian dollars if you are moving only to Australia. You do not choose it at checkout; we set it from your profile.
  • Paying with an Indian card? Indian bank cards often decline automatic monthly payments from overseas. The 3-month option is paid once, so it avoids that.
  • Refund: If your ID check doesn’t pass and we can’t put your profile live, we refund you in full.

Staying safe across borders

  • Never send money to anyone you meet here, for any reason: a visa fee, a ticket, an emergency. Nobody genuine asks.
  • Take your time, and bring both families in. If your family is here, they can meet the other family in person.
  • If someone talks more about the visa than about you, or pushes to marry in a hurry, tell us.
  • A Personal Matchmaker can speak with the families on both sides, by invitation.
  • Block or report anyone from their profile. It takes effect straight away.

Rishta does not give visa advice, and a match here is not a visa. These are the official pages. Rules, fees and timings change, so always check there, or with a registered migration agent in Australia or a licensed immigration adviser in New Zealand.
