The journey

From hello to happily ever after.

Every step is guided, soft, and mutual. No cold approaches. No awkward silences. No fake profiles.

01

Create Your Profile

Two boxes. About you, and what you are looking for.

Two boxes, the pair every matrimonial site here uses: about you, and what sort of partner you are looking for. Plain paragraphs, not prompts — prompts are for flirting, and a family reading your profile wants something they can talk about.

If you are stuck, write it the way you would say it out loud. Specific beats impressive: the langar shift beats "I love helping people". Nobody is marking it, you can change it whenever you like, and it is the part people actually read.

Add your photos, cultural background (religion, community, mother tongue, gotra if relevant), and residency status. This takes about 10 minutes.

02

Wait to be let in

A person reads it. Not instant, and that is the point.

Someone here reads your profile before it goes live. Until it passes you cannot search and nobody can find you — which is the same check everybody else here has been through, and the reason a reply means something.

An identity check is optional and takes about a minute: your passport or licence, then your face. It puts a verified badge on your profile. You are never asked for a document just to look around, and a person reads your profile either way.

03

You search, and you are searched

Australia and New Zealand together, by default.

Search covers both countries, including people overseas who would move here. Filter by community, mother tongue, family origin, diet, residency and whether someone would relocate — the questions families actually ask.

Nothing is ranked by what anyone paid. Results are ordered by how complete a profile is and how recently someone was here, which is the closest thing to a fair order we could find.

Open a profile and it shows, point by point, how many of that person’s stated preferences you meet, including the ones you do not. No invented compatibility percentage.

04

Send an interest, in your own words

Nobody can bulk-send. That is the whole design.

Every interest carries a note you wrote, at least forty characters of it. There is no daily quota to spend and no button that fires a hundred at once, so the ones that arrive were meant.

If she is outside your preferences, or you are outside hers, she may not be findable by you at all. That is her setting, not a paywall, and it is the default.

She can say no, and you hear it as a no rather than as silence. She is never told that you looked.

05

She accepts, and only then can you talk

Messaging is closed until she opens it.

Nobody can write to you before you have accepted their interest. It is not a setting you have to find — the message route refuses it outright.

Photos appear when their owner approves you specifically, and they can withdraw that later without telling you. Enlarge one and your own member number is stamped across it.

Contact details are never on a profile, at any price. When you decide to swap numbers you type yours yourself, inside the conversation. After that the two of you carry on without us.
