A note from the founder
I spent six months on a paid plan on the biggest matrimonial site in the world, searching honestly for someone to marry from here. I found roughly ten men for every woman, a paid plan that produced nothing, and a fake profile I could make in minutes.
Rishta is what I wished had existed: women free with nothing held back, photos hidden until she says yes, every profile read by a person before it goes live, every interest written by hand, no phone numbers on the page, and a matchmaker who is never from your own town. I built it because I am looking too.

Be patient
Replies come at the pace women say yes, not on demand. Five good interests a week beat fifty ignored ones, and early on a city may be small. Every reply will be a real one.
Questions men ask us
Can I browse profiles?
Yes, once a person here has read and approved your profile. You see the women who chose to be visible to men matching their preferences. Some women choose matchmaker-only; the Vichola tier is how you reach them.
Is there a limit on how many interests I can send?
No cap on the number. Every one has to carry a note you actually wrote, which is the part that gets yours read. Bulk-sending three hundred a week is why women delete the other apps, and writing every note makes that impossible here.
How many women are on it?
We open a city when there are enough approved women in it for introductions to be real, and not before. Until your city opens you are on the waitlist and you are not charged. When we tell you a number it will be a real one.
When do I see her photos?
When she says yes to you, and she can withdraw that later without telling you. She sees yours first, if you have chosen to make them visible — the same controls apply to you.
How many introductions will I get?
As many as genuinely fit. Your matchmaker is paid for outcomes, not volume, so she will not send you someone just to make a number.
Can my parents pay?
Yes. Gifting a membership is built in. You own the account, and it exists only because you agreed to it.
What does the Vichola tier actually do?
A named matchmaker represents you: she approaches families, handles expectations and timelines, and carries the difficult answers both ways. It is the role that has always existed in our community. We hired it back.
Is there a refund?
Nothing renews by itself, so there is nothing to cancel. And on Search, marry someone you met here and we refund up to 12 months of fees.
